This is probably one of the cheapest and most affordable wine stores in Chelsea. Trust me. I know by this point. I'll walk a bit out of my way to save $3-4. Large selection. Not only cheap wine. I also enjoy that they have a large variety always of clearance sale wines. It's not just the same crud I see on the marked down shelf at my local wine shop in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. Staff has always been super nice. They even keep affordable wines chilled. Because lemme tell you, so many places put the more expensive stuff in the fridges if you want your wine chilled immediately. Smart tactics but I'm onto it. Very appreciated and well noted.
They're so friendly and helpful here. Whenever I order alcohol delivery or pick up, they almost always have the best prices in the area. They also give my bulldog treats, he also rates Philippe Liquors 5 stars.
This store is great! All the guys that work there are super nice and friendly always kind and always give treats to my dogs they are open but aren't letting anyone in the store which is great and keeps us all safe you can look online and order or call and pick it . Small liquor store in Chelsea. Wine selection's good enough, as are the prices. Smallish fridge, but fine. A bit cramped--might be hard to walk around if there are more than five people inside, but it wasn't too crowded when I was there. Good for a quick shopping visit. I can't say that I spent a lot of time here, but this has been my impression.
Philippe is a small shop with friendly staff. They have the best selection of spirits in Chelsea. They even deliver special orders to Brooklyn for me and my clients. Thank you Sam!
They deliver! Total selling point for me. This means if I need a little booze or wine, I can call them up and it's about 20 paces round trip from my couch to the door. Lazy, I know. Please don't judge me!
